Oak Alley Plantation gets its name from the spectacular quarter mile tunnel of 28 oak trees that frame the plantation as you approach. Built in 1839 and facing the Mississippi River, Oak Alley's magnificent appearance makes it a MUST SEE destination on everyone's list of historic Louisiana sites.
Laura, a Creole Plantation, has a rich and unique history, from the home itself to the stories of the four women that ran it, one of which it was named for. Tour this 200+ year old sugarcane plantation. Tour includes a walk through of the "Big House" as well as slave quarters. Much of the plantation was destroy in 2003, but has since been rebuilt and restored to it's original glory, going as far as to repurpose materials from .

Nottoway Plantation
Stand in awe of a truly magnificent plantation, Nottoway, also known as the "American Castle" because of its beauty and size. Completed in 1859 for the John Hampton Randolph family, the plantation is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
With its 64 rooms and boasting over 53,000 square feet, it is the Largest Plantation Home in the South.
Hear the stories of the Civil War, when the grounds of Nottoway were occupied by both Union and Confederate troops, and the home was fired upon several times by Northern gunboats.
