2013 has been quite a year.
We’ve made it through another Hurricane season without blinking an eye, popped up in Times Square, searched for the Honey Island Swamp Monster, and made it back in time to do a toy drive for children in need.
Celebrities like Peter Andre and Audrina Patridge swung by for a boat trip, showing us that celebrities can be some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, and kids from far and wide came in to celebrate their birthdays with us.
None of this could be made possible without the Cajun Encounters team.
Their hard work and dedication goes a long way, and we wanted to thank them during our company Christmas party.
The celebration this year took place on the Steamboat Natchez.
We filled the boat up with team members and set sail along the Mississippi for a special holiday celebration.
Warm, delicious food was served, festive tunes were played, and chatter over the past year filled the room.
Time seemed to fly by as the boat powered up river.
After a while, it was time to clear the dance floor to announce this year’s outstanding employees.
Awards were given to Thomas Conrad for “Concierge of the Year,” and Marica Mackenroth Brewster for “Stand Out Employee of the Year.”
We also awarded the following team members for their hard work:
“Manager of the Year”
Louis “Butch” Jobert
“Driver of the Year”
Captain Eric Dumas
“Captain of the Year”
“New Employee of the Year”
“Sales of the Year”
After awards, it was time to give out raffle prizes!
We picked names to see who won items like TV’s, coffee makers, LSU memorabilia, as well as a ton of other things.
It was just another way to say “thanks” for a great job, and everyone seemed to be in the holiday spirit!
There were smiles across the room as everyone cheered on one another.
The team truly showed how much of a family we are here at Cajun Encounters.
Soon, it was time for the DJ to pack up, as the Steamboat came back to dock. Time certainly did fly by.
We all took a few more moments to chat with each other, then filed off of the boat to board a Cajun Encounters bus to head back home.
After all, there were more guests to greet in the morning, and more good times to be had the next day!
And with that, we’ll leave you with a few more photos of the team.
THANK YOU to you, our guests, our readers, and our friends for being part of our wonderful year.
You are part of our family, as well, and we’re wishing you the best in 2014!!
Keep in touch, and visit us again soon.
