Imbued with its famous festive atmosphere, New Orleans not only lives up to its reputation as a business town but celebrates it during the annual New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW). This unique event presents an exciting combination of speakers, networking events, musical performances, art installations and more, all taking place at “the intersection of innovation and culture.” New Orleans Entrepreneur Week is a delightful destination for startup founders, business leaders, investors, and industry experts who enjoy mixing business and pleasure.
About New Orleans Entrepreneur Week
New Orleans Entrepreneur Week, which will take place from March 27th through April 1st, is now in its 12th year. The festival is produced by Idea Village, a New Orleans based startup accelerator. The Idea Village strives to demonstrate that entrepreneurship is an invaluable force of social and economic transformation. This concept serves as the backbone for NOEW, and JPMorgan Chase & Co. has been an enthusiastic sponsor since its inception.
NOEW 2023 is one of the Gulf Coast’s premier events for sharing ideas and networking. The festival also makes a point of showcasing New Orleans’ unique cultural and economic ecosystems. NOEW will initiate with two days of “NOEW in Your Neighborhood”, a series of partner-driven events that highlight and showcase the city’s entrepreneurial spirit.
As the week goes on, panel sessions will focus on topics such as healthcare, energy, biotech, climate, and local businesses. “Pitch Day”, which will take place on Friday, March 31st, gives aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to promote their exciting new idea before a panel of judges. There will also be exciting presentations on food and restaurants by local EATrepeneurs!
NOEW Guest Speakers
New Orleans Entrepreneur Week 2023 features an exciting lineup of speakers. The most prominent speaker will be Walter Isaacson. Isaacson is a native New Orleanian who serves on the board of United Airlines, the New Orleans City Planning Commission, and other organizations. He is also a world-famous author and journalist. Other speaker appearances will include former Senator Mary Landrieu, AOL founder Steve Case, and former NBA player Taylor Griffin.
NOEW Music Lineup
NOEW’s musical performances are a new addition to the 2023 festival. In order to celebrate New Orleans culture, local groups dominate the lineup. New Orleans-based performers include pop electronic band People Museum and brass bands like the Young Fellaz Brass Band. The lineup also features some visiting performers, such as Austin-based rock band White Denim.
